Moving Back To Blogger.com

 

 

 

I have faced some problems with word press and hence have decided to move back to blogger,at least for a couple of weeks.Will try to come back after I make the necessary changes to this blog.

Change is Permanent

 

 

 

From rediffblogs to blogger and from blogger to wordpress.That pretty much describes my journey in the blogging world.Nobody except me and a few of my friends I coaxed,read my blog on rediff.I had more luck with blogger.After some intital hiccups my blog at blogsopt had reasonable number of hits per day and I had managed to build up a sizeable readership.Blogger gave me almost everything I had asked for.

Though I could have conveniently persisted with blogger,I decided to take the plunge and have shifted to wordpress.For some inexplicable reason,I felt that worpress offered me more.My friend Prashanth too was had a role in this change

With an assessment tomorrow and End semseters around the corner,I must be slogging it out solving Free & Forced Convection and similar stuff,but here I am sitting and blogging about my shift to wordpress.What an eccentric weirdo you may say.But I guess that's me.Ok enough of this bullshit.Gotta go and take a final look at the portions for tomorrow's test.Till next time ciao

A Predicament

A friend calls me after 3 years.After the initial pleasantries he makes a request(I knew this was coming).As we both belonged to mechanical engineering,he wanted a favour.As my department was conducting its annual technical symposium he wanted me to get him a participation certificate for paper presentation.He hadn't submitted any paper for review nor did he have any intention to.All he wanted was a certficate that would aid him for his placements.

What should have I done?

Take the moral high ground and tell him that I can't do this favour(I am still suffering from RDB hangover).Nepotism is a major problem plauging this country and I didn't want to be party to it.I represent this country's youth that our elders are proud of and wouldn't do anything to belie their belief in us(Ofcourse no one will no,but even then).

Or

Forget all this uprightness nonsense and try my best to get him the certificate.After all he was my friend and what's wrong in helping him with his career.
